जिसकी ममता के बगैर संसार सुना है,
उसकी महिमा को बहुत कम लोगों ने जाना है,
उसके बगैर किसी का अस्तित्व ही नहीं,
उसकी गरिमा के लिए कोई शब्द ही नहीं।
आज यदि वो ना होती तो तुम ना होते,
उसकी आंचल तले चैन की नींद तुम ना सोते,
तुम्हारा पोषण कर तुम्हें अपना दूध पिलाया है,
रात भर जाग कर उस माँ ने तुम्हें चैन की नींद सुलाया है।
बिना बोले वो सब जान जाती है,
एक माँ ही है जो अपनी संतान के लिए हर बला से लड़ जाती है,
संतान की खुशी के लिए जो हँस कर हर आंशु पी जाती है ,
प्रसव की पीड़ा को सह कर जो अपनी संतान को इस दुनिया में लाती है।
अब तक संसार ने माँ का वास्तविक परिचय नहीं जाना,
सारे वेद पुराणों में उस माँ की महिमा को सब ने है माना,
जो करती है इस जग का सृजन उसके मूल स्वरुप को तुमने नहीं पहचाना,
वो है दया की मूर्ति बड़े सौभाग्य से मिलता है माँ की आंचल तले ठिकाना।

Without whose maternal love the world feels desolate,
Very few have truly grasped her greatness;
Without her, no one would even exist,
And for her dignity, there are simply no words.
Were she not here today, you would not exist;
Beneath the shelter of her embrace, you would not have known the peace of sleep.
She nurtured you, sustaining you with her very own milk;
Staying awake through the long nights, that mother ensured you slept in perfect peace.
She knows everything without a word being spoken;
A mother is the only one who battles every peril for the sake of her child.
For her child's happiness, she smiles as she swallows back every tear;
Enduring the agony of childbirth, she brings her child into this world.
To this day, the world has not truly grasped the essence of the Mother;
Yet, across all the Vedas and Puranas, everyone has acknowledged Her glory.
You have failed to recognize the true, fundamental nature of the One who creates this universe;
She is the very embodiment of compassion—and to find refuge beneath the shelter of Her loving embrace is a rare and immense blessing.
